Elegant with Elegance:Light Blue

Well I am here with what is possibly my new Holy Grail lens...Unfortunatly it's been discontinued for over a year now. That is Elegance by Ciba Vision. I will bore you with the details of the branding in another post. In the mean time I will share my joy.

First things first..The close ups:

These are beyond gorgeous and captivating. They have rotated my previous holy grail lens (Natural Touch by Coopervision...also discontinued and to be reviewed shortly). I was very fortunate to snag a sealed, non expired pair of these in my perscription and am in awe of them. More pics and a better review will be coming soon. Stay tuned.

i love these contacts! i know you said they are discontinued...but i found an elegance replaced by natural touch, is that the same thing?

They were both at one point identical, interchangeable lenses. However when they were both being manufactured Natural Touch changed their pattern. I believe further back in my blog I have a review of a few Natural Touch shades. Unfortunately they've both been discontinued. Luckily I was fortunate enough to have an eye doctors office that sold Natural Touch so I do hav a few pairs on reserve.

Hi Greg!

1st , I found Elegance suits you very well!!!
2nd, I used to wear, elegance, in blue by ciba vision. I guess it s the one you re wearing. and I just love them because the blue was very strong ( totally hide my natural brown) but of course as you know it has been discontinued
As you seem really into blue lens and a bit picky too :-), I was wondering which one ( brand and colour) would you say, are most similar to the elegance blue.
Looking forward to your advice
Thanks a lot!

I used to wear the same lens. elegance
however they have been discontinued as you know
I ve seen you ve tried few other blue lens.
I used to licked elegance blue because the blue was very opaque and strong and hidding well my brow eyes.

thanks for your advice

Anonymous/Leroy (Same person?) If not same question>

Firstly I share your disappointment. Elegane Light Blue as well as Natural touch Baby Blue were (and still are) my everyday lenses.

Unfortunatly as of most recent I have still YET to find a lens that creates a similarly natural yet vibrant effect. Some lenses have potential (such as Dolly Eyes) BUT they lack the fine tune of the pattern as well as the subtlty of the starburst that makes them look natural. As of right now the closest I have come is B&L Softlens Natural Colors in Platinum...and that's sorta kinda but not quite close to Elegance Grey/Natural Touch Sultry Grey. It's pattern is somewhat natural and it's tone is similar in vibrancy...other than that there have been no lenses as of yet I have come across.

Hi Greg!

thank you so much for your reply and sharing your thoughts.
Regarding B&L Softlens Natural Colors, have you tried topaz or pacific?
as you said that platinum looks a bit like grey elegance... maybe topaz would look like elegance blue...

I've only tried Platinum myself. I have seen a few of the Topaz. It's noticable but closer to Elegance Dark Blue/Natural Touch Sophisticated Blue more so than Light/Baby Blue.
